Living with Wood, Shaping Everyday Life

YOKIGI is a furniture brand with a workshop and showroom in Ujitawara, Kyoto. Guided by the desire to stay close to people and wood for a long time, it designs not only furniture but also the movements, ways of spending time and relationships with space that furniture creates. Drawing on the character and texture of solid wood, it carefully develops comfort, structure and presence to make one-of-a-kind pieces that fit naturally into individual lives. Through both original furniture and bespoke commissions, YOKIGI offers the comfort contemporary life needs and the value of long-term use. Exploring relationships between materials and people, furniture and space, it combines design and handcraft to make everyday moments a little more comfortable and fulfilling.
