Thinking about Architecture. Materials. The Future.

Thinking about Architecture. Materials. The Future.
From locally rooted architecture to new material values and design for future generations, this exhibition explores architectural possibilities through diverse perspectives on buildings, cities, materials and people.

1. VUTAI, a base for agricultural and architectural practice in harmony with Uda's rich natural environment. Panel displays introduce the work of RUI SEKKEISHITSU.

2. Asuka KMEW Hashi no Sato, a regional collaboration drawing on Asuka's resources. We introduce community and social contribution activities supported by industry–government cooperation.
Nomadogi is modular wooden furniture developed by the U-35 Committee of the Architectural Association of Japan. Repeatedly assembled, dismantled and moved, it circulates through different urban settings.

3. Architecture for the Future, selected by Sou Fujimoto, Yuko Nagayama and Yuri Naruse. Photographs and panels present past winners of KMEW's ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN AWARD.

4. SOLIDO: The Next Development explores the possibilities of cement beyond conventional building-material categories.

Through these displays, visitors can experience ways of engaging with communities, creating architectural value, and imagining materials and spaces for future society.

Award-winning works ranging from housing to public and commercial buildings offer a view of Japanese architectural design today and tomorrow. Where the power of materials meets architects' creativity, the exhibition offers discovery and inspiration to everyone interested in architecture and design.
