From September 23 to 29, together with the partner event New Energy Osaka held on October 4 and 5, OSAKA DESIGN WEEK 2026 took place across the city of Osaka.

Thanks to all of you, so many people came to visit, and the event came to a close with great success.

To everyone who visited, thank you so much.

We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the exhibitors, the speakers and performers, and all the venues, partners and everyone involved who created this week together with us.

This year’s OSAKA DESIGN WEEK was made possible because each of you brought your own ideas, skills and passion to your own place, and generously opened them up to others.

People encountering works at the venues.
People exchanging words with the makers.
Conversations sparked between strangers who happened to be standing side by side.
People walking through the city, discovering places and designs for the first time.

Perhaps these scenes, unfolding in so many places across Osaka during the event, are exactly what we hoped to create through this DESIGN WEEK.

Design is not only about finished things;
it is about people meeting, different perspectives intersecting, and something new being set in motion.

We hope the many encounters born this year will grow into new work, co-creation and culture in the years ahead.
