DAIKO is a specialist lighting manufacturer that began operations in Osaka in 1926 and celebrates its centenary in 2026. We have created lighting for homes, hotels, shops, offices, art museums and other settings.
We value more than simply making a space bright. Through light, we seek to move people and create comfortable moments and fulfilling lives. Our proposals range from lighting-product planning and development to lighting schemes tailored to individual spaces.
For OSAKA DESIGN WEEK 2026, our Osaka headquarters showroom will host a design talk and a children's workshop exploring the enjoyment and possibilities of light.

Keiko Kubo Talk: Rediscovering Japan’s Appeal through Salone del Mobile

We welcome leading Japanese interior coordinator Keiko Kubo for a talk about Salone del Mobile, one of the world's largest design events.
Having studied and worked in Milan, Ms. Kubo has visited Salone del Mobile for 19 years. What does her long-term experience reveal about overseas design and living, and how has it renewed her view of the value of Japanese design?
Through photographs and stories, revisit Milan as if traveling there together and consider the future of design and fulfilling lifestyles.
