Design Proposals That Bring New Value to Spaces

Since its founding in 1919, HIRATA TILE has proposed high-quality spaces through tiles and sanitaryware that combine design and functionality. Alongside carefully selected products from Japan and abroad, we introduce new lifestyles and spatial values emerging from the global design scene.
We see building materials as more than raw materials: they are elements of design that enrich spaces and everyday life. This exhibition offers an immersive experience centered on tiles and washbasins from MUTINA and terzofoco presented at Milan Design Week 2026.

The Fascination of the Space Between

HIRATA TILE x KEIKATO
Together with designer KEIKATO, we have been exploring tile joints.
A joint is the small gap between tiles.
What might we discover if we paid a little attention to this often-overlooked space?
Widen it a little at a time. Place words in it. Put objects in it. Let light pass through it.
This exhibition invites visitors to experiment hands-on and experience the changes that emerge in the space between.
It is always there, yet rarely noticed.
Perhaps it holds possibilities we have yet to see.

The World of terzofoco: Bringing New Value to Spaces

Terzofoco's washbasin collection has received acclaim at international design awards, including the Archiproducts Design Awards 2025 and Dezeen Awards 2025. Created in collaboration with architect Emanuele Gargano, the series is produced with individual care rather than mass production, with time and effort devoted to every piece. This approach creates products with a truly distinctive presence.
Based on the spatial presentation unveiled at Milan Design Week 2026, this exhibition introduces bathroom spaces that blend naturally into architecture and interiors while retaining a quiet, refined presence. Experience Terzofoco's distinctive craftsmanship and aesthetic at the venue.
